SEPTIEMBRE EN BENIDORM
Tras haber finalizado los meses de temporada alta de éste verano 2020, y viendo las dudas sobre la situación sanitaria que se está viviendo en los lugares de origen de muchos turistas, ha convertido a Benidorm al igual que al resto de municipios vacacionales alicantinos en el destino perfecto para multitud de personas que desean alargar sus estancias estivales.
Parejas que teletrabajan con o sin niños de corta edad (sin obligación de escolarización) y jubilados, han decidido "cambiar temporalmente su residencia" alargando su permanencia en apartamentos de la playa.
«Realmente nuestras razones para quedarnos son sanitarias. La situación aquí, por muy mal que se ponga, no está como en Madrid y cómo puede evolucionar allí», señala un residente. «Con este mar y el cielo azul te olvidas de eso. Es la tranquilidad de salir a cualquier sitio sin problemas de aparcamiento, a un restaurante... en definitiva la vida es fácil desde el punto de vista sanitario y lúdico. En otros sitios no es así. Aquí no tienes sensación de peligro», concreta, que conoce a muchos jubilados y prejubilados que piensan igual. Es el ejemplo más generalizado entre quienes deciden quedarse.
Todo son ventajas para quien se pueda permitir pasar los meses de otoño e invierno junto al mar. Mejores indicadores sanitarios que en sus localidades de origen, disponibilidad de vivienda y la posibilidad de prolongar sin límite la vida al aire libre (uno de los antídotos más efectivos frente al coronavirus) por el excelente clima mediterráneo, son los factores que más se valoran en el momento de tomar la decisión de "quedarse en la playa". Sin la masificación turística que se produce en "temporada alta" las ciudades costeras ofrecen la totalidad de sus servicios para menos población en "temporada baja".
Frente a la bajada de población que supone la marcha de los veraneantes, se ve con esperanza la presencia prolongada de turistas. La única opción para sostener la economía en temporada baja después de un verano atípico.
