"DE-ESCALATION" BEGINS

Due to the stabilization and decrease in cases of the pandemic in the Valencian Community, starting next Monday, March 1, we will finally be able to speak of de-escalation in terms of current security restrictions.
One of the main measures is the reopening of the terraces in hostlery sector where up to four people per table can meet.
They have been tough months for everyone, but it seems that we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, since according to the Community authorities, this de-escalation plan will begin in March, gradually making security measures more flexible.

Below we will briefly describe what these de-escalation measures will consist of:
It can be extended to a maximum of four people to be able to meet in public spaces.
The terraces of the bars and restaurants are reopened in all the provinces of the Valencian Community. With hours until 6:00 p.m. and with mandatory use of a mask except at the time of consumption.
The capacity in non-essential shops is increased to 50%, with an extension also in their closing hours until 8:00 p.m.
The weekend perimeter closure ends in the large cities of the Region, including Benidorm.
Reopening of parks and gardens.
Expansion up to 50% of capacity in places of worship.
Opening of outdoor sports facilities: individual activities, in pairs without contact and in groups of maximum 4 people per monitor of each activity will be allowed. Trainings without public are authorized and the pavilions, gyms and covered courts will remain closed for the time being.

In view of this, Benidorm is preparing for spring, preparing its beaches in anticipation of the reactivation of mobility in terms of tourism. It is expected that in March and April the "Benidorm Beach Safety" protocol will be reopened, which was a success, to control capacity, distancing and compliance with safety measures on the beaches of Benidorm, so that the "subdivision" of the arenales that began in June 2020, will be relaunched.
This "subdivision" will continue to be in spaces of 16 square meters (4x4 meters) in order to guarantee physical distancing and compliance with all measures. There will be a surveillance and rescue service made up of a maximum of 19 personnel and which includes a boat and ambulance; as well as a reinforcement of cleaning at the foot of beaches and coves in morning and afternoon shifts, complementing the usual night service.

As the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has emphasized: “the implementation of all these services is one more example that the city and the tourist destination are fully prepared for the enjoyment of our beaches with the maximum guarantees and even a possible reactivation of tourist activity, always keeping health security at the core of all actions and strategies that are undertaken by the City Council and from the tourism sector itself ”.
As we have always said: Little by little, and thanks to the collaboration between everyone, the situation will improve, for sure. Although we still have a long way to go, this is certainly excellent news for all of us.
